Southern Bred I aint heard much bout em but they from Alabama and they got a song ATL. Well I got this album because I had heard the song called ATL but it ends up this is there first album and that song aint even on here but even without that song I still got the album to see how it was.
1. “Scrub Da Ground” has real fast up tempo beat with a nice chorus that starts the album off nice. The track is basically like a club get buck type track and they both flow real nice on this track. (3:59)
2. “Mafioso” has a real nice beat with some violins and piano with it, sounds like some shit you would hear in godfather movies. They both go real nice on the raps on this track another good track that should keep you bumping. (3:04)
3. “Paper Green” has a real tight ass beat its real mellow and slow with a nice baseline to go with it. This track is the single for the album and is real nice it has a nice chorus and they both ripping it real nice on this track. (5:47)
4. “Bitches In The World” has a real slow laid back beat with some nice guitar in the beat. This track has some guy singing the chorus and beat is sampled from some song I have heard before but I can get it in my head but this is another tight track. (4:26)
5. “Demons” has a real nice beat sounds like some orchestra ready to go to war shit. Its a short track its like a minute something so its kind of like an interlude you can say I wish they would have made it into a full song. (1:29)
6. “Laws Laws” has a tight laid back slow type beat and has some guy singing on the hook once again. They both come real nice on the flows on this track and is once again another bumpable track. (3:58)
7. “Country Folk Talkin” just an interlude nothing special here (3:06)
8. “Cadillacs” has a real simple beat but its a tight one for sure and has some nice flows to go with it. Nice track to kick back and ride too another track that should have you bumping. (5:25)
9. “Deep In My Mind” has a real tight slow beat with some nice guitar in it and the chorus and flows on this track are real nice. They basically talking bout the struggle very tight track im liking this one. (5:16)
10. “Ghetto Stories” has a real different beat from some of the other beats on the album it has some weird instruments in it but its still a tight beat. They both come nice on this track and it has an aight chorus not the best but still a very bumpable track. (2:34)
11. “Baby Girl” has a nice beat and samples the triggerman which is used a lot in beats down south. This track is aight its not one of the best tracks on the album but its still a track I could bump. (3:33)
12. “Livin In A World” has a real tight beat with some girl singing on the hook and is a real laid back track. They both come real nice on this track and this is another one of the better songs on the album. (4:00)
13. “Straight Off Da Chain” has a real tight beat and this is more of a get buck type track. The chorus comes nice on this one and they all rip it up nice and its one of the faster songs on the album. (3:20)
14. “Paper Green Remix” has basically the same beat as the first one but they made it a little faster and added a few instruments here and there nothing special here I like the original version a lot better. (5:23)
This album was a very good pickup for me I think its a very tight album and the production by Chubbfresh was all very simple but the beats all hit hard. If you got a system this album hits very hard in the trunk. I think Alabama is moving up a lot in the game all the albums I have heard from there have been very tight and surprised they haven't got bigger yet. I know Southern Bred has a new album that came out in 2001 and its called “Papergreen” so im guessing they probably got some tracks from this first one plus some new ones. This album is very tight and is one of those albums you can play front to back.
