This group is straight outta East Palo Alto Cali, "Money Rhymes" is their sophomore effort after bringing straight heat on their debut release. This album features such hard hitters as: E-40, Above The Law, and Mac Mall. It starts off with a lil intro with a tight ass laid back beat with just some talkin on it......it is followed up by "Picture That" is a nice ass track that is basically letting everyone know they are back and aint shit changed....they kickin the shit letting people know that they never falled off....its a really tight track with a great beat.
"Hard Hittin" is up next featuring Top Dog Vanzetti & Money Mont...this has a strong west coast style beat to it that is garanteed to make your trunk bump....it has some tight vocals to go along wit the beat to make it another solid track. "Gangsta Shit" features Money Mont once again.....its another really solid track, the beat on this junt is really nice and so are the vocals, you really cant help but to bob your head to this as you are riding down the street. "Git Money" comes up next and I really aint feelin the beat on this as much as the previous songs, I just think there is a little too much happening in it but the vocals are straight as fuck, its nothing that you cant listen to but its nothing you skip right to so that you can bump it.
"World Famous" has a great beat, its a very laid back one that you could kick back on your coach and just chill out to, E-40 is featured on this track, everyone drops really solid verses on this track, it is probably my favorite track on this album. "One Love" is track 8 and it features Trigga Face, it has a very laid back feel to it like the track before, I am really feelin the vocal tone and the beat on this track, whenever you make a track like this you cant help but to like it, it has some of that old west coast feel to it that you hardly ever see anymore in the west coast albums.
"It Might Help" is coming up next and it features Joe Moe, its a decent track.......nice lil beat and decent vocals on it, there are a few things I dont like bout the beat but the chorus is tight as fuck on this track. "Buckle Up" features those kats Above The Law.....the song has a great beat to it and ATL come really tight on this track like the usually do, its one of the best tracks on the album. Up next is another laid back track called "Doin 2 Much", I am really feelin what they are talkin bout on this junt here, they are kickin some really tight lyrics that everyone should be peepin, it features a really tight beat as well that will have yall's trunk bouncing up and down.
"Why Me" has a classic west coast style beat to it and for you southern fans the beat sounds like something that would be on a K-Roc or Mr Pookie album.....the vocals on this track are a little bit faster by AK and Mac......this track is tight as fuck, great vocals and a bumpin ass beat.....this is a definite banger for everyone. "Hoes & Vogues" features Rexshawn and its another banging ass track, I have been very impressed with the beats on this album so far and thats a huge plus especially when you drop as tight as vocals as Mac & AK have on this album, Rexshawn comes tight as hell on this track also. "Way 2 Saucy" features Mac Mall....it has a very laid back beat to it that is nice one again, Mac Mall drops a really nice verse on this, its one of the better verses I have heard from Mall in a while.
"Wassup Rogue" features Nevalegal, this track is another laid back one, I really cant get into the beat on this one here, it just isnt too consistant throughout the song and that kinda messes the song up for me. "U Just Don't Know" is track 16 and it features Trigga Face.....he starts this track off with a really solid verse but I really cant get into this beat on this song....the vocals by Mac & AK are solid also but it really goes for nothing with this beat here. "Unda Pressure" follows this, it has a nice lil beat to it and some solid vocals, the beat has a old school feel to it, when I say old school I am referring to years like 95 or around there so not that old school. The last track is called "Money Rhymes" and its a banger, the beat is tight as fuck and the vocals are on point, very laid back dope shit they are kickin on this junt here.
Overall this album is a definete pick up for everyone. The production throughout the cd is really solid, you are getting 18 tracks on this album and 16 of them are full length songs which you usually dont find anymore, Mac & AK definetely bring a laid back feel on this album which is very appealing to me, if you are looking for a good west coast album that has ties to the old west coast stuff with no commericalized influence type of bullshit on it I suggest that you pick up this album. Also if you are able to find their first album that is a definete banger as well.
