Ludacris is back with his 3rd CD "Word of Mouth" after releasing his first independently and his second nationwide on Def Jam South. After being on big hit singles such as What's Your Fantasy, Southern Hospitality, Minute Man, Area Codes and Fatty Girl he comes with an new album featuring such names as Three Six Mafia, Twista, Mystikal, Jagged Edge, and his Disturbing the Peace Click.
1. "Coming To America" has a raise up orchestra type beat....very tight beat on this one. Starts off with some girl talking she jocks the line from the movie "Coming To America" by saying your royal penis is clean. Ludacris blows this whole fucking track up....this was a very tight ass track to start the album out had my head bobbing the whole time tight shit.
2. "Rollout(My Business)" has kind of a jazzy bouncy type beat going on this one. Has a pretty clean catchy ass chorus and Ludacris comes with some more tight shit on this one. I believe this is his single for this album I heard he gots a video out for this song.
3. "Go To Sleep" has another orchestra type beat going on with some violin type shit going on in the background. Has a nice basic chant chorus done by Luda "Go To Sleep Hoe" this track features Three 6 Mafia, I-20, & Fate Wilson. DJ Paul and Project Pat came with some nice verses on this cut.
4. "Cry babies ( Oh No)" has a nice ass bouncy piano beat going on this one. Ludacris comes with a nice ass catchy hook and the beat goes perfect with it. Ludacris comes tight throughout this track this track is another bumping track I was really feeling this one sounds like it could be a single.
5. "She Said" has a real deeper darker beat sounds like some nice grimy south shit. The chorus on this track has a deep voiced chant going its pretty tight. Ludacris comes nice on this track with some pimp tight lines about bitches getting on their knees another tight track.
6. "Howhere (Skit)" just a skit about the nationwide area code hoes, a lil funny peep it out.
7. " Area Codes" the summer hit featuring Nate Dogg and if you aint heard it then some things wrong cause its been all over TV and the radio.
8. "Growing Pains" has a real old school laid back type of beat sounds like some shit from the 60’s good pimp sounding shit. This track features Fate Wilson and this has a real old school feel to it sounds like an old pimp song i was feeling this one they all came tight on it.
9. "Greatest Hits (Skit)" this shit is funny its a commercial making fun of white folks rapping to Ludacris beats funny shit right chea peep it out.
10. "Move Bitch" has a tight ass beat sounds like some hype shit has some horns going with it in the background. This track has Ludacris doing a tight ass chorus its some get buck push em off type shit. This track features Mystikal and he starts off with his old style and changes up kind of wack but comes at least decent to end the verse out.
11. "Stop Lying (Skit)" funny ass skit about some dude lying about al the shit he got......and then getting caught up
12. "Saturday (Ohh Ohh)" has a party type disco beat going on this one. This track features Sleepy Brown who is just on the hook making some background effects while Ludacris rips it nicely on this track as well I was feeling on this track as well good laid back ride to shit.
13. "Keep It On The Hush" has a real laid back sounds like this was sampled from some old school song cant place from where though. This is a slower track which features Jazzy Pha while Ludacris comes with some real laid back type vocals good slow track I was liking this shit too.
14. "Word Of Mouth (Freestyle)" has a basic beat with a background effect sounds like someone is making a lil background effect with their mouth. This is just some Ludacris freestyle it was aight I wasn't really feeling it too much had me skipping.
15. "Get The Fuck Back" has a nice brassy bounce type beat, has a harder feel to it. This track basically features the whole Disturbing the Peace Click. Ludacris comes tight on the track and so does everyone else was tight to hear Shawna haven't heard her since the What's Your Fantasy cut she came nice on the cut.
16. "Freaky Thangs" has a old wild west mama senorita type beat going on. Has Faizon Love talking on the begging off this one. Jagged Edge comes in with a singing hook then Ludacris follows with a verse then Twista comes in and rips it as he usually does then Jagged comes in with the hook. Twista comes in with another hot verse and Ludacris comes with another but you get the idea this is a very tight ass track.
17. "Cold Outside" has a real slow deep darker beat unlike the rest of the album. This track sounds a lot different that most of the songs on this album its got some deeper lyrics and this track features Chimere who signs on the hook. A decent little track not too bad.
18. "Block Lockdown" has a nice symphonic piano beat going to it while Ludacris comes in with a verse the chorus is pretty tight and is done by Ludacris and I-20 and its a pretty good track. This track fades into another track which is the "Welcome To Atlanta" song. I noticed a lot of artists are doing this on thier albums now making the last song like 2 songs in one I don't know why though i guess its another trend that's coming into effect. Well this welcome to Atlanta track is bumping as fuck its on JD’s new album and its one of the best songs on his album has a tight ass bumping beat.
In end this album was pretty damn good no real sorry tracks on this one. All the tracks are very bumpable and this is some what of an improvement on his last album. It has more bump able tracks than his last one and should have Ludacris fans happy. Tight album go pick this shit up when it comes out for sure...
