This album is a classic, its before C-loc went nationwide and you know how it goes after they go nationwide. Its probably C-Loc's last true underground album. It features alot of people including Young Bleed and LayLo. I know everyone know "How You Do Dat" from Master P's I'm Bout It, well that songs actually came from this album, Young Bleed has his own song on here the is called "A Fool" and has the same beat and chorus plus one of his verses, then the C-Loc verse from that song comes from another song on this album and then Master P had thrown his verse in. The orginal shit from this album is alot better then P's bullshit.
The first cut is a solo by C-Loc called “Fair Exchanged Ain’t No Robbery” and this shit is off the hook, the vocals by C-Loc are flat out amazing, this nigga is a god dam genius on the mic and the beats by Happy Perez, C-Loc and Lee Tyme are all tight as fuck, some of the best production I have heard in a long time. “Doing What It Takes” by 2XL is next up and it this bumping ass track is off the hook, this nigga comes really tight on the mic, everyone will love this cut. “A Fool” by Youngbleed is next up and it’s the song that has basically the same lyrics as How You Do Dat on I’m Bout It that they had the video for, Master P got all those lyrics and beat from this album here. This song is off the hook, a lot better then the version Master P put out.
“Who Dat” is another tight cut, it’s a solo track by C-Loc, he comes really tight on the mic. G-Dog is up next with “Ward Tyme Stories” which is basically a pretty weak cut, its nothing I ever bump, I have never really gave it a chance though. “And I’m Knowing” is next up by Queen, the vocals are very low on this cut, you can barely hear this female, she sounds aight though, nohting that special though. “Life’s A Bitch” by Lee Tyme is after that and this is a super solid track, this nigga comes very tight on this track, he needs a solo album.
“Mama Told Me” by C-Loc features a verse from How You Do Dat There from Master P, this is where he got the verse from, but anyway this song is flat out amazing, everyone that loves rap music will fall in the love with this cut. The beat, vocals, chorus and everything is off the hook. Full-Pack is next up with “Where You From” and it features some pretty nice vocals, the song is listenable but nothing that you just jump right too. Dolla is next up with “Shreveport Blues” and this nigga comes really solid on this track, just another bumpin track for yall to bump basically.
Track 12 is called “Southern Roulette” by G-Dog and this is an alright cut at best. “Deadly Sins” is next up with D-Click, I don’t know who is in this group but I think its basically just C-Loc, Lay Lo, Young Bleed and some others, it’s a really tight cut though. Joker P and DJ Chill are next up with “Bloody Murder” and this shit has a really tight beat, the vocals arent all that tight though but they are straight enough to bump. My favorite cut is next up by Lay Lo and its called “Dare Devil” and this shit right here is dope as fuck, the beat is too dam cold. The vocals are off the map as well, I cant say enough tight shit bout this cut, everyone in the world will love this shit.
The last cut is called “Everyday Thang” and it features Leah Mand and Fired, this cut is basically terrible. This album has a lot of bumpin tracks that you can listen to all day. I suggest getting this album along with any other old albums of C-Loc that you can find, most of them are out of print though. But if you do find it I would buy as many as you can of this album cuz I know a gang of people that would pay top dolla for it and if you find any of C-Locs solo old albums pick them up as well, they are southern classics.
