These guys were from the original Concentration Camp, I thought that they were gonnna be released on C-Loc records, but I guess not. Happy Perez still did the production on this album, so you know it has tight beats. Lay Lo is made up of Minelli and J-Von. “A Dub Out A Gee” is a tight little cut, the beat is blazing and the vocals are pretty tight as well. Up next is “Guess Who”, this is an alright cut, its nothing all that special though. If you like most Louisiana shit, you will love this shit, cuz it sounds like C-Loc’s new shit and Boo’s new shit. “Between Us” features Young Bleed, this is a really solid track, everyone comes pretty tight on this shit.

“Take It Like A Gee” has an old school beat that is blazing, the vocals are pretty tight also. Track 7 is called “Crushed”, it’s a very laid back track, its nothing off the hook but its still straight to bump. “Dirty game” is up next and its another laid back track, the vocals are really solid and the beat is tight. The title track is next up “Simple & Plain”, I ain’t really feelin this track, its just sounds too normal.

“Catfishing” is up next and it’s a hella solid song, Happy drops a tight ass beat on this track and Lay Lo drop some really solid vocals. They almost sound like Outkast on this track. “Better Than Tha Last Time II” is track 11 and its another solid track, the beat is blazing and they drop tight lil vocals. Boo is featured on this next cut called “Dedicated”, its more of a slower style cut for them, it’s a straight cut but nothing that special. The last track is called “Ghetto Gospel” and it’s a weak cut, its doesn’t stand out from any other song.

Overall this is a solid album for Lay Lo, the beats are very solid and the vocals are tight. I really don’t bump it all that much but I really think I could get into it if I gave it more play. If you like C-Loc, Boo, Young Bleed and peeps like that you will most definetly like this shit.
