Aight I decided to review this CD cause Coo Coo Cal is getting talked about a lot as of late due to his new single “My Projects”. Coo Coo Cal comes out of Milwaukee and this is his first CD which not many people knew about features the lies of TWISTA, Spice 1,Mack 10, Oznola, Freedom, J-Swiss, Shree C, Sabri, Mr. DoItToDeath, Kilo, Tiffany Davis, Wolf D, Youngtwan, Justice, & Mista Lee.

1. “Intro” Basic intro nothing special

2. “Ride Till We Die” has a nice beat with some nice orchestra type shit and some piano going on in the background. This song features Twista and you already know he rips that shit up. Cal comes nice on the hook and raps tight shit.

3. “Take It How You Like” has a west type vibe on this beat, has sort of a wild west type twist to it. The hook kind of sounds like a Tupac song but he still makes it sound tight and he comes real tight with the flows on this track again.

4. “Walkin Dead” has a more up tempo beat with some effects that I could hear Timbaland using. Cal comes real nice on this track and the hook is sung by Freedom another tight track.

5. “Skit” Some more talking

6. “A Penny 4 Your Thoughts” once again has a west coast type beat with some horns in the background. Cal comes tight as fuck on the hook and the flows on this track and its one of the best beats on the CD.

7. “Ain Shit Changed” has a more darker mob shit type beat with some chime type effects in the background. Cal comes real tight on the hook and flows on this track another bumping ass track.

8. “Real G’s” has a nice tight mobbstyle/westcoast type beat tight shit on this beat. This track features Spice 1 & Oznola and manne this track is tight as hell too has a tight west coast feel.

9. “Set Up Shop” has a more basic beat with some chimes and dark orchestra effects in the background. This track features Mack 10 & Lil Nique and they all come real tight on this track another good hard gangsta track.

10. “Grimreaper (Prelude)” Interlude I actually liked this one

11. “Grimreaper” has probably the slowest beat ive heard on this album has some nice chimes and piano effects in the background. Cal comes tight once again with the hook and the flows.

12. “News Breaks” just a interlude about Officer Dick In The Ass getting blasted

13. “Game Still Recognize Game” has a mid tempo beat with sort of a dark RnB twist. Cal Flows a lil slower on this track but he comes tight and this track features Sabri but she don’t do shit but make a moaning sound in the background.

14. “The Shit” has a real dark beat reminds me of some underground Chicago type shit. This track features Mr. DoItToDeath and Kilo and Mr. comes real tight and I really feeling his flow and Cal comes in with a tight ass verse too.

15. “A Dime A Dozen (Prelude)” starts of with some song which sounds tight as fuck that ends off with some talking

16. “A Dime A Dozen” has a more mid tempo beat with some weird eerie effects going on in the background. This is a tight ass track about bitches and Cal comes tight as he has throughout the whole CD another tight ass track.

17. “No Mercy” has a nice mid tempo beat with a piano trigger type effect going on in the background. What can I say Cal comes tight as fuck once again, tight flows and tight hook goos hti once again.

18. “Money Makes The World Go Crazy” has a nice beat with some violin type orchestra/bouncy type shit going on. This track features Oznola, Youngtwan & Mista Lee and manne this track is tight as well they all come real tight and the hook has a nice twist to it good shit on this track.

19. “Make A Mil” this has nice ass laid back beat with a lil piano in the background. Cal finishes off the album with a good track its a track bout making a mil but its some good shit on this one.

Coo Coo Cal comes tight on his debut album which not many new artists are doing nowadays . Cal’s flow/delivery is so tight that he doesn't even need a super tight beat to make you wanna keep listening. I think Cal is on the rise of becoming something big if he plays his cards right. With his new song “My Projects” getting airplay on radio stations everywhere plus heavy rotation of the video on BET. Look for Cal’s new album on Tommy Boy Records this September but while your waiting go pick his first album up cause you will not be disappointed.
