Mista Ian has been featured on a gang of Memphis albums, I was hella surprized to see DJ Paul featured on this album since he usually don’t make guest appearances. “Move” is a really tight song, it sounds like Tommy Wright’s Move MuthaFucka song, it has basically the same chorus, Mista Ian drops some really tight vocals on this track, it was produced by Slicse T so you know the beat is on point.
“Makin Easy Money” features Tela and DJ Paul, this shit is crazy, I cant believe they are on the same track, but this song is pretty soft, it aint nothing that tight, Its alright though. “Private Dancer” has the beat from a Dogg Pound song, this song is pretty tight though, its more of a laid back chilled song.
“Walk It Like A Dog” is a pretty shitty song, it is more of a dance type of song but it has a strong gangsta feel to it. Finally the really tight songs start, “Stuck N The Streets” is up next and mane this shit is off the hook, the chorus is really tight and Mista Ian comes really hard on this shit. “Ian V Me” is next up and its another solid track but nothing I really bump all that much, the beat has a little too much going on in it. “Lay Em Down” is off the hook, he is telling a dope ass story to a very laid back simple beat, mane this shit is very original and almost a western style song, “Playaz N Da House” sounds just like a gang of other songs but its pretty tight, it’s a really up tempo song that you can get hype too, I know a lot of people might not like it cuz it aint gangsta enough but I like this style he comes with on this song.
“Street Life” is next, it’s a laid back track that aint really anything that I ever bump, it’s an alright cut. Gangsta Blac is features on the next track “Ten Toes Down Part II” which is dope as fuck, the first version was hella tight also, it was on Southern Invasion. Gangsta Blac comes really tight on this track and so does Mista Ian----all Memphis rap fans will fall in love with this song. “Fuck You” is track 13 and it has a very solid bass line and the vocals are descent, it’s a song that you can listen to but nothing you would do right to once you popped the cd in.
“Talkin Over” sounds like a DJ Squeeky beat, it’s a very tight song, at first it sounds like it’s a weak cut but once the real beat drops you will most likely bump the shit out this song. The last track is hella tight, mane I can listen to this shit all day, its too dam chilled, the chorus is flat out genius---its called “Street Of Thunder” and mane, I fell in love with this track as soon as I heard it. The younger crowd wont like this song though.
Overall this is a very solid album for everyone, it starts off kinda weak but the last 7 songs are very solid. I think bout everyone can relate to this album and it’s a nice pickup if you can find it for under 10 bones. If you are a die hard Memphis fan its worth paying regular price for.
