This is MC Mack and Scanmans first nationwide venture after leaving HCP, Mack has always put out a gang of underground tapes that he did the production on. This group is made up of Lil Corb, Nigaro, Pimp Teddy and Total Kayos. “Introducing” is the first cut and its off the hook, the beat is kinda different but still its nice, the flows by everyone is off the hook, Kayos comes really tight on this track, he sounds like Scanman to me on this track. “Don’t Touch Me” is next up and it’s a get the fuck off me tight of cut, it’s a get buck type of cut, its pretty tight though, I really don’t like these type of cuts but this one is tight.
“If You Real” is next up and its basically a pretty weak cut, the beat isnt anything special and the chorus is flat out terrible, the vocals aint bad but all the other factors fucks the cut up. Track 5 is “Whatcha Waiting For” is a fake ass Juvenile sounding cut, the vocals are absolutely awful, this has to be a joke cuz this shit is soo dam whack, I don’t know what the fuck they were thinking when they made this cut, it gets a lot better after the first verse but it still aint nothing good. “Down South” is after that and its one of my favorite cuts on this album, the vocals are off the hook and the beat is bumping, it reminds me of some old underground shit, very raw.
“Here They Come” features one of those Techno ass beats, this beat is soo dam whack it don’t make sense, the vocals aint really that much better then the beat. “It Aint NO Thang” is track 7 and it’s a really solid cut, MC Mack drops a really tight verse on this track, everyone will like this cut. “Dust I Trust” is a song bout coke and shit, it’s a really solid cut, the vocals and the beat are really tight. They just talking bout snorting a gang of lines this whole cut, very good content!!! “Some New” is track 10, it is an alright cut, the beat has a little too much going on in it, the vocals are aight at best, its nothing I ever bump. “Break Yo Kneez 99” is a classic remix from his underground tape, this shit is blazing, mane they made a really tight remix on dis here, everyone will love this cut if you liked the first version. Everyone drops a really tight verse on dis junt
“I Told Cha” is track 13, it’s a nice cut, they sound like someone familiar on this cut but I cant think of who it is, some people will like this cut and other will hate it. “What To Do” features Suave, I love this cut, its very laid back, it has a tight ass female that signs the chorus, Suave comes really tight on his vocals on this track. The last cut is “2000 Mazdesstruction” and it features a gang of people, Mr. Del and the Whole Kami Kaze Inc crew, it’s a descent cut, I think Mack and Scan were trying to make a Camp Posse type of cut, but it cant compare to the old 3-6 Posse cuts, Mr Del does come pretty tight on this junt though.
Overall this is a pretty descent release from the Thugz From Da Southside, yall that like get buck music will love this shit to death, others that don’t like that type of music will still like this album as well cuz they do have a lot of different styles of cuts on this album. I recommend all Memphis rap fans to pick this junt up.
