This is Lil Blunt’s first solo album after being in the group with Indo G for many years and dropping a few albums. He released this album on the label that Skinny Pimp went to right after he left Prophet. “What They Hittin For” is the first track and it features Bigg Time and Six-1 and it’s a pretty straight cut, it’s a uptempo type of track, the beat is a little suspect but the vocals are pretty solid. “Swanging On The Block” features Big Smoke and its one of the better tracks on the album, the beat is hella cold and the vocals are really tight as well----very solid track.
“40 Thieves” features Ms. SunShine, and this bitch is flowing her ass off, she drops a really nice verse to this banging beat. “Down In Tennessee” is next up and it’s an aight cut, nothing special but it aint too whack. Track 6 is “We Want Your Body” and it features that nigga Blitzo, this cut is hella weak, the beat is pretty solid but the vocals don’t go with the beat at all, they are rapping off beat the whole song. “Situations Critical” features Indo G and Hit-Man-Hamp, it’s a pretty solid track, Indo G comes off really tight on this track, he has the voice he uses on Angel Dust, Lil Blunt and Hit-Man-Hamp both come pretty solid as well.
“A Higher Level” is track 8 and it is a pretty solid cut as well, the beat is really tight, the chorus is kinda dumb though, the vocals by Lil Blunt are really solid though. “Life In The Fast Lane” features Kool Ace, it’s a very weak cut, the beat is terrible, the vocals arent much better either. Next up is “Movin’ Tha Hitz”, they sure the fuck aint moving no hitz with this bullshit, this song is flat out terrible. Following that is “Drama In My Life” and it has a terrible chorus which is full of a bunch of yelling and shit, the vocals are aight but nothing off the hook.
“Lil Johnny” comes next, it’s a slower style cut, its pretty much a weak ass filler cut, nothing I would ever listen to again. The last track is “Mind Blowing” and its off the hook, it is on his new album was well. Overall this album is aight, the really tight cuts are on his new album as well as this one. I wouldn’t recommend this album to anyone but make sure you pick up his new album “Parafenelia” cuz its off the map. This album is just lacking creativity, it has a few cuts that are tight but no songs that would make you want to buy the album and listen to it over and over.
