New Jack is one of my favorite cliques so you know I had to pick this shit up, but mane I was hella disappointed once I heard it. It is a double disc album with a total of 22 cuts on it. Young Lo is the biggest name on New Jack, he is basically the CEO of that company. The first cut is “Fuck Yall Zaggin” and this cut is hella tight, it’s a different style for Young Lo but its still rare, Duecele Dogface and Snipa are featured on this cut along with Young Lo, everyone comes pretty tight on this track. Snipa & Poppi are on the next cut with “Back Of The Barrel” and these niggaz really surprized me with this track, their flows are very tight, they have a fast style to them and the beat that Young Lo laid down is really tight also.

“Time Iz Of An Essence” is next up and it features C-Rocka and D. Perignon along with Young Lo, its basically an R & B cut for the first 4 minute then Young Lo drops a verse, his verse is very deep but it aint nothing that tight. The next cut was featured on Young Southern Playaz, its called “Serious”, this is slow cut, it’s a very deep track, I really don’t ever bump it but it aint bad if you are into slow style cuts. “1989” is track 5 and its done by Qwen, I don’t know who this nigga is but he comes really tight on this track, this is a very solid track. “What Would I Do” features Michael Street, who is basically a R & B singer, this has no rapping in this cut, just singing. Snipa & Poppi are up again with another track called “Imagine”, it’s a solid track, the beat aint all that but the flows are pretty tight.

“You Don’t Know” features Young Lo, Taylor Boy, GK, Deep Sleep and 1st Degree, this cut is pretty weak, the beat isnt anything that special, the lyrics and vocals are aight. Track 9 is “Program” and it features Deon Perigon and Qwen, its another R & B cut which features a rap verse by Qwen, I personally don’t like this style of music but some people might like it. Da Villain is next up with a solo cut, I think this is the one and only solo track I have ever heard from this nigga, its caled “Tikin Out Da Frame”, Da Villain flows fast as fuck on this track like he always does, but the beat totally fucks the entire track up. The last track on Disc 1 is called “Fallen” and its by Duecele Dogface, this cut is absolutely terrible.

Disc 2 starts off with a solo track from Young Lo, its called “Deep” and I think this cut is on his new album also, this is an alright track at best, I expect a lot more from him. Snipa is next up with a solo called “Catastrophy” and the beat on this track is flat out terrrible, the flows arent really much better. “Mama’z Baby” is a singing track by Michael Street, I’m sure it’s a straight R&B cut but I cant judge these type of cuts for shit. “Retrospect” is next up and it features Snipa, Poppi, Qwen, Deon Perignon. It’s a descent cut but nothing I ever really bump. Duecele Dogface is up with a solo track called “Timez Change” and this nigga makes another weak ass cut with this one, Dogface is flat out terrible.

“Crazy” is track 6 and it features C-Rocka (R&B singer) and Young Lo. C-Rocka basically sings for the first 3 minutes then Young Lo drops a really tight verse for this type of track, the song isnt anything that good though, I aint waiting no 3 minutes through R&B bullshit to hear 1 aight verse. “Ten Yearz Or More” is a solo track by Da Villain, he really flows tight on this slower style cut. Track 8 is aclled “Lord Forgive Me” its done by Snipa & Poppi, these niggaz have a really tight flow to them but if they could finally get a tight beat behind them they could push some albums, this Mr. Mitch nigga cant produced for shit. Following that track is “Deon Perignon” by Deon Perignon, LOL aint that some shit, this is an R&B cut, its pretty shitty.

“Benjamin’s” features Furse D’Gree and Young Lo, this cut is a pretty nice lil cut, its finally some straight up gangsta shit, this is probably one of the better tracks on the entire album. The last track is called “Drama” and its another gangsta song that features Young Lo, Snipa and Duecele Dogface, everyone comes really tight on cut, especially Young Lo. Overall this is a pretty weak album from New Jack, I expect a lot more because I love Young Lo’s first album, the beats on this album are pretty shitty and Young Lo tried to incoporate R&B and Rapping too much together. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to pick this album up unless you like R&B and rapping together---even if that is the case, be aware that they don’t do that good of a job mixing it together.
