I was glad to find out that he had a Greatest hits album droppin nationwide but as soon as I got it I was disappointed.....its not a true Greatest Hits album because they only took songs from the Skinny Pimp songs from Basix album which were Back To The Playaz Ball, Skinny But Dangerous, Da Product, Controversy. It starts off with an intro talking bout how he is the king of Memphis and he was there before Paul, Tommy, Gangsta Blac, Pat, etc......its just talking and shit. “Mack Of The Year” is next up and this is from his Skinny But Dangerous album and its straight pimpin, its a very old school song from 93....the beat is sampled and the lyrics are tight as fuck, the young bucks might not like this song but he is spittin straight knowledge that everyone should peep.
Al Kapone is featured on the next track called “Five-0” and it used the Bad Boyz beat and chorus from the COPS TV show......it really sounds tight, I didnt think it would be all that tight but it is pretty solid, both Skinny and Al drop some tight vocals. “Get Da Club Crunk” is a new track just like the last track, it is a pretty solid lil track, Skinny drops some fast vocals here in there on this track and the beat is solid. The worst song is next up, it features that whack ass kat Haystak.......his lyrics arent that bad but his voice is horrible, this cut is called “Something 2 Think Bout.” Next up is “Tenneesee” which features Lil Gin, this song is pretty descent, Lil Gin drops some tight vocals to start it off, the beat is very undaground sounding.
“Get Yo Bankroll” is next up and its from the Back To The Playaz Ball album.....this is one of my favorite cuts from that album, it has a really solid beat and Skinny drops tight ass shit on this junt. “Stick Em Up” features 211 and was taken from the Skinny But Dangerous album....if you dont like old school shit you arent gonna like this cut.....I personally think its really tight but if you arent into old school like I just said you aint gonna feel it. “Glock N My Drawls (REMIX)” is next up and this shit is horrible, the original is tight but this remix is horrible, I dont know what the fuck they were thinking on this beat. “They Gotta Pay Me” is track 10.....this si from that Back To The Playaz Ball album.....its an aight track at best, he made a video for this song.
“Kickin It With Skinny Pimp” was taken from Skinny But Dangerous.......it is another very old school sounding track, it is an aight track, I would have chose something else from this album then this track. One of my favorite tracks on this album is up next “Grab Me A Bitch Nigga (Screwed)”....mane this junt sounds tight as fuck screwed.......first off the song is dope as fuck to began with and then adding the screwed element to it just makes it even better. “Yours & Mine” is off of the Product album.....I dont know who the first guy that raps on this song is but Skinny comes in for the second verse and rips shit up....its a nice lil track. “1,2,3’s, A, B, C’s” is next up and this shit is off the hoook, straight old school funk......if yall like that style you gonna love this shit.......Skinny goes through the ABC’s and raps the shit....its really tight in my opinion----P----Pimpin aint dead just the hoes scared!!!
“We Da Crunkest” is off of the Back To Tha Playaz Ball album and its a dope ass track...probably one of the best tracks Skinny has made since he left Prophet....he drops some great vocals to this bomb ass beat. ‘Stick It Baby, Do It” is next up and its from Da Product and its a shitty ass track....I dont know why he put it on here. “Shake Junt Remix” is next up and it was from Back To The Playaz Ball.....it is an aight track, I dont really like his Shake Junt tracks though, but if you do I’m sure you will like this one. The last track is called “Top Notch (Chopped & Screwed)” and this song is aight....it really dont even sound like Skinny Pimp but ole well.
Overall this album is pretty tight.....If you have Skinny But Dangerous, Back To Tha Playaz Ball and Da Product there is really no need to buy this album....unless you want to hear the 3-4 new songs on here which are pretty solid but not a neccessity to have. If you havent heard anything by Skinny Pimp and wanna hear what he is all bout, I wouldnt recommend this album to you....You should look into something like King Of Da Playaz Ball or Back To The Playaz Ball...this really aint a good example of what Skinny’s music is all bout.
