This is the much anticipated soundtrack to the Behind Closed Doors movie that Street Smart Records and Tommy Wright III is putting out. Well now that I finally got it and after all the hype I will give you my opinion on this double disc junt. The first cut is a solo by Tommy Wright called “I’m Turned Out” and it has a really solid beat, you can tell they are working with better equipment and shit now. Tommy drops some really tight vocals on this junt and Maceo came through with the beat really tight. Next up is “Late Night” which features 2 Cold and Smooth, it has a tight beat and some descent vocals by 2 Cold and Smooth, its nothing spectucular but it is something that I can bump and get down with.
“So Crunk” is a solo track by that nigga C-9 who comes tight as fuck ont this track, he really dont flow as fast as he usually does but he actually sounds better on this track then he usually does. The beat is really crunk and the flows are really solid. “Gunshots” is track 4 and it features PSK-13, K-Roc, 3rd-Roc, Kid and Indo G.....this beat on this track is pretty tight but the chorus is flat out horrible, PSK-13 dont really sound right flowing to a Street Smart beat and he starts off the song so it really messes the song up, K-Roc drops a nice lil verse even thought he is yelling a little too much in his verse, Tommy comes in after him under the name 3rd-Roc and he comes clean, this nigga named Kid comes in next and drops a nice verse and he is followed by Indo G coming really nice----Indo G probably comes the best on this song outta anyone.
“Intention To Kill” is a solo by Lil Ramsey, DJ Scar did the beat, you can tell this is an older song because the quality of the recording isnt that new sounding, Lil Ramsey drops a tight ass verse like he always does, that nice smooth laid back flow he comes with. DJ Scar does a nice job with the beat is well, this is one of my favorite tracks on the album. “Handle Yo Bizness” is by Boss Bytch, if you dont know this bitch yet you better get to know her, her solo cd is cold as fuck and she comes really tight on this track also, she has a style like La Chat and she aint no punk either. The beat on this track is perfect for her and she holds up her end of the bargain and comes clean on the mic.
“One Of A Kind” is also on Young Southern Playaz “Dirty 3rd” cd, it features K-Rock, Droopy Drew Dog and Tommy Wright. Its a descent song, alot of people dont like it from what I have heard, its not that bad but not that good. K-Rock drops a really tight verse and so does Droopy but the beat is very suspect. “Bounce To Dis” is by Flip Syde outta Chicago, he has a strong Do Or Die type of feel to him, he flips his words really tight and the beat is a typical Chicago style beat, you cant help but to like songs like this. Destineal is up next on “Nothing Matters Now” and he comes really solid on this track, I am not the biggest fan of him but I am impressed with this song, he has a 2-Pac feel to him if you havent heard him before.
Up next is the return of that nigga Project Pimp, hell yeah I have been waiting to hear some shit from him for a long time, but the beat on this songs fucks it up before he can start rapping, it has to be one of the worst beats I have ever heard on a street smart album. Project Pimp comes tight ont he vocals but the beat doesnt give him a chance. “Red Rum” is a bumping ass track off of Psycho’s album that came out a few years back, I am glad they put this song on there, it gives people a chance to hear this blazin ass cut, it features Mr. Tinimane and Da Villian who both come tight as fuck and flow really nice. Psycho drops a very evil beat on this junt as well.
Disc 2 starts of with “Talk Is Cheap” and its the tightest song on the album by far, Tommy starts this shit off hella tight and Maceo lays down a solid beat. He is followed by Lil Sko who drops a really tight verse, he has really improved alot on his vocals over the years, C-9 comes up next and comes solid on his verse, last but not least Boss Bytch who seems a little more laid back on this track then normal, she sounds good though. “The Big Picture” is next up and its by Mr. Emp, Mr. Nigga and Memphis G, I am a huge fan of Mr. Emp and Mr. Nigga but they come terrible on this track, it is one of the worst tracks on the album. “Ghetto Children” is next up and its done by Fade Maine and Michael who are the Underground Thugz, it has a really tight beat and the flows are tight as fuck, I am really excited to hear more shit from these cats.
“Balla On A Budget” is a solo track by Lil Sko, its a very different style type of track, I cant really describe it, you either gonna love this track or hate it. I dont think its that great of a song, but I can see how people would like this track, the beat is solid but something bout how Lil Sko is flowing seems weird. “Too Many Enemies” is next up by Double L and Tommy Wright III......this track has a really tight beat which Maceo lays down, there is a little annoying sound that he puts in during Tommys verse, this Double L cat is really tight as well, I had never heard of him before but I am impressed. “Tonight” by DJ Trick is next up, alot of yall probably know him from his work with King JC, he always comes tight on his beats and he kinda sounds like Indo G with a high pitched voice, anyways he comes really tight on this track, everyone should like this laid back track.
“Win or Lose” is by Mr. Nigga and Memphis G......this track is pretty weak, I cant believe Mr. Nigga came this weak, I dont have a clue who Memphis G is though. But the beat aint bad just the flows dont go good with it. Sinista Sistaz are next up and they are Ms. Vicious and Princess Loko, this song is tight as fuck, both these girls flow their ass off and Loko brings you back to that old shit that you knew she was capable of doing-------really solid track. “Local Jokers” is by Lil Sko, Psycho and C-Roc. Its a really tight track, nice and laid back feel to it and the flows by everyone on this track is up to par. The last track is by La Chat and 2-Faced, its a really tight rrack, it sounds like it was recorded pretty recently because the beat is so clean and shit, La Chat flows her ass off on this junt and 2-Faced comes really tight.
Overall this is a pretty tight album, there is alot of undesirable cuts on it but the good cuts outweigh the bad ones. I would recommend you to pick it up if you are a Memphis fan or a Tommy Wright fan. I really expect better outta Tommy and Street Smart but compared to the other shit that is dropping nowadays this is alot better. You can tell he has a better studio because the beats and sound quality are alot better then previous albums. Bottom line, go pick this junt up!!!
