Young Lo is one of my favorite artists, he used to be on all of Squeeky’s albums. He has focused on his solo career now with New Jack Entertainment, his first album “Real Dealizm” is one of my favorite albums. I didn’t expect him to keep that same level on this album cuz it would be pretty hard but he came really tight. “My Man” is a different style for Young Lo but its hella tight, Slicse T did the beat and its really tight as well, Young Lo drops some really tight vocals on this track. “Life In General” is next up and it has a laid back beat to it and some smooth vocals by Young Lo, this reminds me of some of his old laid back shit, very tight junt.
“Up In Traffic” is really tight, it is just like “Long Sunday” from his old album, it is some ole laid back pimp shit that you can go driving too and smoke a blunt to. “Deep” is a very different style cut for Young Lo, I really don’t like it, I guess it aint that bad but I am use to him doing a certain style and hearing anything different fucks me up. The beat is still tight. Track 6 is “Yellow Brickroad” is a very laid back song about dying and shit, it has a really tight beat though, if you like slow type of cuts you will most definetly like this shit, Young Lo is the master of laid back tracks that are tight. “Sticky Situation” features that nigga Da Villian and Bruno (from headblow entertainment), Young Lo starts this shit off pretty tight then Bruno comes in with a descent verse, but fuck mane Da Villian comes in on this laid back beat and tears the song up, this nigga goes the fuck off like he always does.
Snipa & Poppi are featured on “Da God” and this cut is flat out terrible, the beat is horrible and the content of it isnt all that, I skip it everytime. “Paper Chaser” is my favorite cut on the album by far, its off the hook, its has an amazing beat which Insane Wayne laid down and the vocals are sooo dam smooth, Young Lo flows pretty fast on this track, not C-9 fast but a very uptempo flow that is too dam cold, very tight song!!!!!!!!!! “No Love” is another really solid track, Slicse T laid down this hella tight beat, Young Lo drops some really tight vocals on this gangsta track. “Yall Zaggin” features Duecele Dogface, this cut aint all that bad, its good to hear this nigga rap good for once, whenever I hear this Dogface cat he always sounds terrible, its nothing that I ever bump all that much still though.
“What We See” is a laid back cut about what Young Lo sees in the hood allday everyday, it is a descent cut but nothing I really bump all that much, I don’t have to fast forward through it though. GK and Money Maru are on the next track called “Survival”, this shit starts off with a crazy ass savari type of beat, I don’t know what the fuck is going on, its just flat out a very different style of a cut, it is a mixture of Outkast and the regular Young Lo, I really don’t know what to say bout it. “Dead End” features 1st Degree and Deep Sleep from Flatbroke Entertainment, this cut would be a lot tighter if the beat was better, the vocals aint bad but Slicse T comes pretty weak on the beat.
Track 15 is “What Goes Around Comes Around” and its off the hook, this beat is really tight and the vocals by Young Lo are solid as usual, it’s another laid back track. The last track “Bury Me G” has a beat by Insane Wayne who always comes tight on the beats, it reminds me of a Dr. Dre quality beat, it is just a very solid song overall, the vocals are very tight by Young Lo and everything else is perfect on this track. Overall this album is another very solid album from Young Lo, if you like his first album you wont be dissappointed with this album, he has a very laid back style on this album which I love and his beats are very solid, with producers like Slicse T and Insane Wayne you cant go wrong.
