This is Al-D’s second album, his first one “Home Of The Free” is tight as fuck, this album is basically an EP, it only has 8 tracks on it. The first track “Y U Hate Me” is a classic song which has appeared on a gang of DJ Screw albums, he is spitting some of the realest shit I have ever heard up on this shit, the lyrics are too dam real. UP next is “Mind At Ease” which is a very laid back track, it features Lil Keke, Shorty Mac and ACT. Everyone really comes tight on this shit, the chorus is really cold, Lil Keke is in his prime around this time so you know his verse is off the chain.
“Shady Daze” is up next and it’s a solo by Dren, this nigga really drops some tight vocals with this tight chilled beat, it’s a very solid track. Track 4 is called “Roll Models” and it features Lil Mel, who is a little kid that can flow but this song he doesn’t really shine on that well, this shit is more of a slow cut about Roll Models, its actually kinda gay. Next up is “I Understand” and its another slow cut, it features Phaz, its bout women and how men understand how they feel and shit, its basically garbage or love making music.
Track 6 is just a radio edit of “Y U Hate Me”. Right after this is another radio edit of “Mind At Ease”. And the last track is an instrumental of “Shady Daze”. Overall this is a tight lil album, it really only has 5 songs on it, but 3 of the 5 are tight as fuck, if you can find this shit cheap somewhere scoop it up, otherwise try to find his first album which is hard as fuck to find but its dope as fuck.
