REVIEW: The legendary Street Military drop their first album in over 5 years......This shit is everything that I expected and more......The first cut is called “Rock This Bitch” and it has a guitar sounding beat but its tight as fuck, KB and the whole click come tight as fuck on this track.....Everyone will bump out to this shit. “Tell It Like It Is” is a slower style cut that Pharoah rips the mic on.....it has a nice chilled out chorus and then Pharoah comes in with some really tight lyrics.....Lil Flea comes solid on this track as well. “Steel Gangstaz” is track 3 and its another tight track, it has a really solid beat and the flows are top notch.
“R.I.P. NUTT” is a Rest In Peace song to Nutt who used to be part of Street Military.....it has a slow sounding feel to it but if you know Street Military its hard for them to make a slow song. K.B. starts this shit off and comes clean as fuck, its indescribable on how tight he came on this shit. “Never Give Up” is next up and its an aight cut, it has a different style of beat that I aint really feelin....the lyrics and vocals are straight though. “Energy” follows this and guess who is rapping on this? K.B.....that nigga has more energy in his flows then anyone I have ever heard....he comes hard as fuck on this junt.
“Benjamins” has a really crappy beat and the flows arent really all that tight. “Independent Woman” is a song that! they have a single out for down in Houston and is getting play on the radio down there....it is a nice lil track for this style of cut, they keep it gangsta but are talking bout a down ass bitch. “Niggaz On Lock” is next up and its tight as fuck...Z-Ro comes tight as fuck on this junt, he sounds really tight with these niggaz.....Young Kilo is on this track as well and he brings it pretty solid as well.
“Police Harrasment” features Danjah Ray....this song is solid just like the other track, it has a really tight theme to it and they are really kickin some deep lyrics bout the punk ass 1 time. “Mob Money” is track 11 and its a pretty tight track, it isnt as tight as the other tracks but it will still get play. “I Wanna Thug” is a totally different style then I have ever heard from these niggaz....Cle Che from Guerilla Maab’s clique is on this song....she is a tight female that has a really tight voice....Yall gotta make your own mind up on this track, Street Military just sounds too weird on a track like this.
“Gangstaz Ball” features MJG and Z-Ro....MJG comes pretty solid on his verse, it has been a while since I have heard him on a guest appearance, KB rips shit up on this junt.....Z-Ro makes a surprize appearance on this track as well and comes clean as fuck, it reminds me of his old shit. “Do That Shit” is another tight track, it has a really solid beat and KB comes really solid on this junt. “AK Bullets” is a straight gangsta track and it is another winner....the beat is cold and the flows are solid as well. The last track is called “Dis The 1” and its a descent track.
Overall this is a dope ass album. It has to be one of the best albums I have heard in a long time. It brings be directly back to their old shit, these guys didnt sell out one bit. I recommend everyone to pick this shit up right away, you are gettin 77 minutes of Street Military bringin the heat to the mic. The only complaint I have is Pharoah needs to be more on this album.
